Information Collected via Social Login

When you use Social Login (Facebook, Google, or Instagram) on our site, we collect your public profile data based on the consent you grant. This data includes your first name, last name, email address, a link to your social media profile, and your profile avatar.

• How We Use This Data: This data is used solely to create your student user profile to provide immediate access to your courses. You can revoke this consent at any time from your profile page or by contacting us.
• Data Deletion: To request manual deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at william@williampward.com. To remove our app from your Facebook account:
  1. Go to your Facebook Account’s Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  2. Click Apps and Websites.
  3. Search for williampward.com and click Remove.

Comments & Media

• Comments: When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string (hash) from your email may be provided to the Gravatar service (Privacy Policy).
• Media: If you upload images, avoid embedding location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract this data from images on the site.

Cookies

• Convenience: If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your details in cookies for one year.
• Login: We set a temporary cookie on the login page to check if your browser accepts cookies (discarded when you close the browser). When you log in, we set cookies for login info (2 days) and screen options (1 year). Selecting “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for 2 weeks.

Your Rights & Data Retention

• Retention: Comments are kept indefinitely. For registered users, we store personal info provided in the user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their info at any time (except their username).
• Rights: You can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you or request that we erase it. This does not include data we must keep for legal or security purposes.
• Sharing: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
